The Design 3 is the newest speaker system from era design. At 7.5” tall, we set out to make the best mini speaker in the world. The D3 defy their physical size. If you require an elegant speaker system that must be small and sound good, the era Design 3 speakers may be the perfect system for you.

era is the only authentic “high-end” lifestyle speaker system on the market. They were intended to appeal as much to the decorator, as they were the music and home theater lover.  

The drivers are small, linier and employ as much deep bass as possible void from compression, a common problem with small drivers when they’re played at high SPL’s.  The D3’s were designed to go close to the wall, as the rear port is tuned 10Hz below the lowest resonant frequency. Essentially, the port allows the speaker to breathe, not throw unnecessary bass frequencies at the wall, making the speaker thick in the mid-bass region. 

The D3 system consists of four D3 sats, one D3 center and the new era Sub 8 subwoofer system. This is no ordinary HTIB, as the sub 8 weighs in at a hefty 55 lbs, w/ a 200-watt A/B amplifier. It employs an hourglass style porting system allowing a wide range of bass frequencies to be reproduced without chuffing of reproducing one note bass.  

era D3 cabinets are constructed from ¾” MDF and are layered with beautiful real wood veneers. Finishes include Rosewood, Cherry and Piano Gloss Black.
