The D14 is a true 3-way design which also uses air core inductors and Sonicaps in the X-Over. Therefore, mid and high frequency performance will surpass the D4, and the bass extension goes down to the high 30’s in a real world listening environment. It is 38 ½” tall X 13” deep X 7” wide. We use a tuned slot in the rear, so in most cases you’ll want to place it at least 2’ out from the wall. This will give you realistic depth perception placing voice and instruments in the space they belong rendering a very realistic sound stage. The D14 is an 8 ohm speaker that is very easy to drive at 88.5db efficiency. Extensive internal bracing is used to reduce resonances allowing all of the energy from the speaker to resonate throughout their listening environment. The D14 weighs almost 60 lbs each!

For theater applications, we recommend the D4 LCR center channel.
